What is an ecosystem? What makes up an ecosystem?
Chapter 5 in our science text has some great information about ecosystems from page 196-207. We will be reading over this, as well as taking notes on a Power Point Presentation. (See Below/Left). Students will define and recognize the terms: population, community, environment and ecosystem.
In the following weeks, students will explore ecosystems and the communities of organisms within them. We will track energy transfer and the roll of producers, consumers and decomposes within food chains. We will also explore biome types and the climate/weather that helps to define each.
